Reviving an icon: The Nissan 370z Twin Turbo Build

In the world of automotive enthusiasts, there's something truly special about resurrecting a car from the brink of abandonment and transforming it into a high-performance machine. This is precisely the journey that we embarked upon with their Nissan 370z twin turbo build, a project that breathed new life into a once-forgotten powerhouse.

The story begins with a chance encounter—a neglected Nissan 370z, its motor blown, tires worn, and bodywork showing signs of neglect, quietly waiting in the back of a driveway. Seeing potential where others saw only despair, our intrepid owner Dane seized the opportunity to bring this dormant machine back to life.

The initial steps of the build were marked by a bold decision—to swap in a Q50 motor, laying the foundation for what would become a true force on the track. But the journey didn't end there. With a thirst for more power and performance, Dane turned to AAM, renowned for their expertise in turbocharging, to unleash the full potential of the 370z.

The transformation was comprehensive, addressing every aspect of the car's performance and reliability. From the addition of a twin turbo kit and fuel system upgrades to the installation of a dual exhaust and stage 2 turbo kit, no detail was overlooked. With components like a CJM oil pan, OS Geiken twin-clutch, and Z1 differential cover, every aspect of the build was meticulously planned and executed.

But it wasn't just about raw power—the build also focused on enhancing handling and control. Superpro front control arm bushings, SPL control arms, and Whiteline differential bushings were added to improve stability and responsiveness, while a suite of sensors and data displays provided real-time feedback on vital performance metrics.

Attention to detail extended beyond performance upgrades, with aesthetic enhancements like Morimoto headlight lenses, a Nismo front fascia, and a Z-Speed undertray adding a touch of flair to the 370z's aggressive exterior.

The result of this meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to performance? A Nissan 370z that's more than just a car—it's a testament to the passion and ingenuity of its owner. With over 650 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, this once-abandoned machine now stands as a true contender on the track, ready to take on any challenge that comes its way.

But the journey doesn't end here. With the possibility of a built motor on the horizon, the future holds endless potential for further refinement and enhancement. For now, though, the Nissan 370z twin turbo build stands as a testament to the power of perseverance and the thrill of turning dreams into reality, one part at a time.
